Niagara to see strong wind gusts up to 80 km/h

Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage,” Environment Canada said, advising residents to monitor alerts and local forecasts.

Niagara is expected to see wind gusts up to 80 kilometres per hour Monday, according to a weather advisory from Environment Canada.

Strong wind gusts are expected in St. Catharines, Grimsby and the northern Niagara region Monday afternoon into the early evening.

The heavy winds are a result of a trough of low pressure sweeping across southern Ontario, according to Environment Canada.

“Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage,” Environment Canada said, advising residents to monitor alerts and local forecasts.
