Only 6% of Ontario’s eligible voters cast their ballot during advance voting: Elections Ontario
A total of 678,89 Ontarians have voted so far in advanced voting, data shows.
Preliminary figures show that only 6.14 per cent of eligible voters in Ontario cast their ballot over three days of advance voting in this year’s provincial election, according to Elections Ontario.

“This marks a change from previous elections,” Elections Ontario said Feb. 24.
In 2022, 1,066,545 voters (9.92 per cent of eligible voters) cast their ballot over a 10 day early voting period, according to Elections Canada. In 2018, 698,609 voters (6.8 per cent) cast their ballot over five days of advanced vote.
“Thank you to all voters who participated in advance voting and to the dedicated staff who worked to keep the voting process in Ontario safe, efficient, and secure,” Greg Essensa, Chief Electoral Officer of Ontario said.
“If you haven’t cast your ballot yet, there’s still time — visit your local election office or vote on election day,” Essensa added.
