3 cases of measles confirmed in Niagara
The cases were confirmed in children who were not vaccinated against the virus.
Three new confirmed cases of measles have been reported in the region Wed., Niagara Regional Public Health said.

Public health is now reaching out to those who have been identified as being exposed to measles.
Anyone in the region who visited the MedCare Clinic at Scott Street Medical Centre in St. Catharines between the hours of 4:20 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. on Mar. 2 is also being asking to watch for symptoms.
“It’s important to remember that measles is a serious disease that can lead to severe complications, particularly in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems,” said Niagara Region’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Azim Kasmani, said in a press release Wed.
“We urge residents to protect themselves, their families, and their community by ensuring they are vaccinated.”
