Man accused of stealing Audi coupe at St. Catharines dealership arrested
The suspect was charged with multiple offences in including break and enter – theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
A 23-year-old was arrested Wednesday after a 2015 Audi TT two-door coupe was stolen from a St. Catharines automotive dealership.
At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Feb. 12, Moesz Automotive Dealership was broken into, according to the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS).
Multiple items were stolen including various key fobs for vehicles and the Audi, NRPS said.
At 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday, officers identified the stolen vehicle and followed it to Niagara Falls where they conducted a “strategic” stop in the area of Mountain Rd. and Kaler Rd, police said.
“The driver then attempted to evade officers however, the suspect lost control and slid into a ditch,” they said.
“The male driver then exited the vehicle and was promptly arrested without further incident.”
No injuries occurred as a result of the incident, said NRPS.

He was expected to attend a bail hearing Thursday.
